Internet Router Down? or I can’t see my website…

Being the owner of three hosting companies, we sometimes have a support issue arise where a customer cannot access their website.

But, to their dismay, the support techs inform them that the server is fine and THEY can see the website just fine.

More often than not, the support techs are not in the same location as the webserver. How can this be?
